Training collegiate Alba
This year we arrived on the eve of summer vacation and Alba 4 July took place the last collegiate training for Kendo and Iaido All gyms affiliated Shubukan.
To combine business with pleasure pleasure to training was conducted over a super grigliatona.
Our meeting point was the Alba 'Alba Village where we spent a couple of days very pleasant thanks to the fantastic work of Michele Gravina and all staff of the camp / hotel.
The training was held at the gymnasium of Alba Rodari Saturday, July 4 in the morning. We started with Iaido and the lesson was given by Mario Menegatti. (VI Dan)
It was pretty hot but this did not stop Mario to make a wonderful lesson focuses on some key points of the greeting and a careful dissection Mae. By
Iaido recently described the points from the lesson of Mario I will be extremely helpful to improve my lai. For example, the fact that during the greeting back should remain perfectly straight and aligned with the head completely changes your posture and makes greeting decidedly martial.
I also found very useful suggestion of dragging their feet on enlargement during the first phase of extraction of the sword of Mae, in fact the body is stabilized and nukitsuke improved. Very interesting also underlining that the nukitsuke Mae is a shot of breaking and then the cut should not be too large. We were given many ideas to be explored after the summer holidays.
Lorenzo, my son, has documented some points of the lesson that Mario is summarized in the video below. Since my son, he has focused his attention on me immortalizing a nice series of errors you have to 'fix, not the least of his back contracted during kiritsuke.

after began training of Kendo. The training was directed by Walter Pomero (VII Dan). We started with a series of basic techniques followed by Kion. This whole first part was done without wearing the least, it was very hot. Simon and I have done this part of training in our respective sons, Lorenzo (11 years) and Sasha (6 years). I always find it very nice to share with my son these pleasant moments. Then we put the men and made gigeiko free. The time was limited and the heat being very high now noon and I managed to make only two brief gigeiko with my son and Bruschieri. Have thus remained the only Dan grades from the fourth up and did the gigeiko which is summarized in the video below.
Again, the training could not be considered complete without the final photo of the group.
Finally, after a well deserved shower we went to lunch.
And then there was the meeting Shubukan. Very informal and humid climate.
At night, super-grigliatona, cooked by the father of Walter assisted by one of kendo in Voghera, very careful evaluation of the degree of cooking (and tasting the many rivers of beer). The logistics of Michele Gravina was absolutely impeccable. Unfortunately no photos of this end of the day being too busy to enjoy it.
